Hi, I’m Jenny
A wellness writer, self-care enthusiast, and mom of two navigating the beautiful mess of modern life.
I started working with Rich and the other contributors at YourTrustedFriend.com as a space to share what I’ve learned (and am still learning) about slowing down, living naturally, and creating everyday moments that nourish the mind, body, and spirit.
In my early 40s, with a full life that includes two energetic kids, a dog who thinks he runs the house, and a daily battle with laundry, I understand how hard it can be to make space for yourself. But I also know how life-changing it is when you do.
My writing is grounded in real-life experiences, not perfection. I believe wellness should feel like a deep breath, not another item on your to-do list.
I want YourTrustedFriend.com to feel like a safe space. A cozy corner of the internet where you can take a deep breath, feel understood, and find real tools to take better care of yourself , without guilt or pressure.
Whether you’re a fellow mom, a wellness newbie, or just someone craving more ease in your day… I’m so glad you’re here.
With love,
Jenny

My Hobbies and Interests
Let’s be honest, hobbies look a little different these days. I don’t have hours to spend doing the adventurous things I used to in my 20s, but I do have little pockets of time. And I’ve learned to fill them with things that make life about me, as well as the kids.
Here’s what that looks like in my world:
- Journaling during the rare quiet moments, usually with a lukewarm cup of tea nearby and one eye on the dog trying to sneak snacks
- Going on “mental health walks” — sometimes solo, but usually with a child scootering beside me and the dog leading the charge
- Listening to audiobooks while folding laundry. It turns chores into something (sort of) enjoyable
- Practicing slow living in small doses: lighting a candle before dinner, putting my phone away during story time, and reminding myself that done is better than perfect
- Making simple, comforting meals that (hopefully) please everyone — or at least 2 out of 4
- Finding joy in nature: watering my plants, opening the windows for fresh air, or dragging everyone outside for a reset
- Saying no more often because protecting my peace is my favourite new hobby
At this stage of life, I’m less about doing it all and more about doing what matters. And honestly? That feels pretty good.
