Short Game, Short Game, Short Game

How to Lower My Golf Score, here are some tips from a fellow golfer on your short game to lower my golf score:
The Problem: Around the green is where most of the shots during your round take place, in fact where over 70% of your strokes happen here during the round. To lower my golf score this is the first area to address.
The Outcome: Taking 3, 4 or even more puts is where your score starts to add up as a result. Therefore, missing the green, getting into bunkers can be very frustrating and concequently leading to more shots.
Why do I need to focus on this: From my experience this is where I made the quick wins to lower my golf score. As a result of following these tips my handicap quickly dropped from 27 to 22 in a few months. Getting putting and chipping right will certainly decrese your score dramatically.
Simple Tip: First, dedicate practice time to putting, chipping, pitching, and dialing in wedge distances. Learn different swing lengths and develop consistent contact and distance control. Then work on chip-and-run shots with various clubs and master your lag putting. Above all , 2 puts should be the target every time. One to get within a few feet of the hole (known as a lag) and finally pop it in the hole.
What Resources Helped me lower my golf score:
- Practice on a real putting green ideal but not practical. The concept is getting used to how hard to hit the ball is key. Getting a putting practice mat at home is a great way to practice, and you can do it between calls when needing a quick break from work.
- Learn how to read greens. There is lots of good practicap advice on this online.
- Practice your chipping on a chipping green at your golf course again is ideal but not practical for everyday. Get yourself a chipping mat and net. This is ideal for the back garden and incorporating a game with your family. Give yourself some challenges.

Have you been frustrated with your game lately, are you getting annoyed on the course and frustrated afterwards. You know you can play better than this.
Are you inconsistent, one hole you can hit the ball miles, then next hole its into the bushes barely 10 feet from the tee. Do you look envious at the others in you group thinking why can’t I do that, they make it look so easy.
Then I know how you feel and let me share some of my journey with you.
Hi I’m Rich and I’m happy to share my golf tips with you. I’m a bogey handicapper (That’s 18 for you who didn’t know). I took up golf not that long ago after a long absence to spend more time with my children and being Dads Taxi taking them from one activity to the next. I started back at 27, but after applying these tips I’m not down to 18.
